How to resize an image
- Choose an image, or drag and drop it above.
- Enter a width, a height, or both. Leave one blank and the other side is calculated to keep the picture from stretching.
- Click Resize & Download.
Common resize sizes
Profile photos are often 400–800 pixels wide, blog images 1200 pixels wide, and marketplace listings usually ask for at least 1000 pixels on the longest side. Resizing down from a large camera photo also shrinks the file size a lot, which helps pages load faster.
Frequently asked questions
Will resizing stretch my image?
Not if you leave one dimension blank — the tool keeps the original ratio. Entering both dimensions exactly will stretch to fit them.
Is my image uploaded?
No. Resizing runs on your device, in your browser.
